A Royal Braves History
In 1949, with an act of civic determination and the financial backing of ten responsible Cleveland area merchants, Mr. Sam Crawford began a legacy of excellence that has lasted through to this day. A testament to working together, The Cleveland High School Royal Braves Band began as a gift to the community from a group of enterprising citizens who realized that the responsibility for local pride rested in their hands. The result of their efforts were immediate and amazing. And the pride we celebrate today is ours because of the giving spirit, resourcefulness, and hard work of folks like Sam Crawford. In the spirit of their team work, you're invited to participate in documenting this written and photographic history. The hope is to create a decidedly personal yet public record everyone can share as a token of all the fond memories and the appreciation that so many of us feel for all the hard work everyone has expended and demanded of each other over so many years in the pursuit of a common dream of excellence and achievement.
